In my opinion this is one of the best places to visit in the Manawatu-Rangitikei region. The food is very good and at a reasonable price and the staff are well organised and friendly.
After our lunch we did the heritage walk which is brilliant and it's a must do if you ever visit this place. It's a self guided audio tour in which you wear headsets and a control for the audio. My wife fell in love with the 1920s California bungalow as it's the same style of house she grew up in in the 1980's and 1990's as a child in central Auckland. I just wanted to move into the 1960's weatherboard house right there and then as it's the same style and very near the same layout as the house I grew up in in the 1980s
